Our take
Prime is Hagen's answer to the same problem Nekton tackles: seed mixes miss 14 vitamins, 9 minerals and two essential amino acids, and this fine, fruit-flavoured powder adds them back. It dissolves cleanly in water or clings to damp food, and birds take it readily. As with any supplement, a bird on a complete pellet diet needs far less, and more is not better with vitamins. A useful tool while you transition a seed addict onto better food.
