Run-About Exercise Ball
The classic clear ball for short, supervised runs outside the cage. Genuinely useful in moderation, with real limits worth knowing.

Our take
The exercise ball lets a hamster explore the room safely without getting lost or found by the cat, and many enjoy a short trundle. Use it honestly, though: it is for brief, supervised sessions of ten minutes or so, not a place to park the animal, since a hamster in a ball cannot drink, rest or escape stress, and stairs are a genuine hazard, so block them off. It is an addition to a big cage and a proper wheel, never a substitute for either. Within those limits it is a fine, cheap way to give supervised out-of-cage time.
