Betta Log

A floating hollow log for a betta to rest in, near the surface where they like to be. A bit of security for a fish that values a hideout.

Our take

Bettas are surface-oriented fish that like somewhere shaded to rest, and in a bare tank they can be listless or stressed. This log floats near the top with a hole a betta swims into to lounge, hide or even blow a bubble nest, and there is a feeding hole in the top. It is a small, cheap thing that gives a betta somewhere to be. Add some soft silk plants and you have a tank a betta actually settles into.

Good to know

  • Floating hollow log
  • Rest and hide spot for bettas
  • Top feeding hole
  • For 2-gallon-plus betta tanks

Who it is for

  • Bettas

Who should skip it

  • Larger fish that will not fit
  • Very small bowls, which are unsuitable for bettas anyway
