Our take
A mirror is the classic budgie toy, and many lone small birds happily chatter and play with their reflection and the beads. Worth an honest caveat, though: a few single birds bond so intensely with the 'other bird' in the mirror that they ignore people, regurgitate to it or get territorial. If you see that, take it out. For most small birds it is harmless entertainment.
