Our take
Harrison's is the pellet a lot of avian vets feed their own birds. It is certified organic, made without artificial colours, flavours or preservatives, and formulated by an avian vet. The Fine grind suits small to medium birds. It costs more than supermarket food and has a shorter shelf life once opened, because it is that fresh, but for a keeper who wants the best base diet, this is it. Transition carefully: plain organic pellets are a big change from coloured seed.
